Welcome to Spotlight on Orphans for Youth.

Spotlight on Orphans is a site for young people to learn how to sponsor an orphan at a Hearth to Hearth Ministries' orphanage and have fun while doing it. Spotlight on orphans has found orphans caring for orphans in Africa.  Orphans as young as eight or nine have to care for their younger brothers and sisters.  You can sponsor an orphan so there will be fewer orphans caring for orphans in Africa. Currently we have four orphanages: Hope for Children Center orphanage, Glory Children's Center orphanage, Bridge of Hope Center orphanage, and Good Samaritan Lwanda Children's Home orphanage. Logan is an eighteen-year-old boy from Minnesota who spent six months in Kenya and Uganda as a volunteer for Hearth to Hearth Ministries.  Now that Logan is home he wants to sponsor an orphan.  Follow the Volunteers link above to find out more about Logan.   Click on www.hearthtohearth.org and then choose the Volunteers link to find out more about adult volunteers at Hearth to Hearth Ministries. HIV/AIDS is a disease that is killing many adults in Africa and leaving their children orphans.  Africa is teeming with thousands of HIV/AIDS orphans: cared for by dying HIV/AIDS widows or orphans caring for orphans.  The purpose of this website is to shine a spotlight on these HIV/AIDS orphans who are alone in the bush, abused on the streets, blessed to be in an orphanage. Sponsorship saves lives, sponsorship gives hope, sponsorship promises a future, sponsorship helps end orphans caring for orphans.
