Glory Children's Center Orphanage
Glory Children's Center is near Kisii, Kenya, and currently has 103 orphans. Of course, when we build a new orphanage we will plan for more children. When Logan* arrived at Glory Children’s Center there were several children that came to the center every day to be fed because there was nowhere else for them to go for food. When they saw Logan and Brian, who came all the way from America to help them, they started crying and begging to be let in to stay so that they would not have to sleep on the street any longer. Many of these children had never seen a white man before and they thought that surely these white men could help them. Logan and Brian did not know what else to do so they let them come in. There were already 46 children living in this house and the extra 90 that were brought in made it too crowded. After several weeks more then 30 were finally told that they couldn't stay because there was not enough room, or money to care for them. Logan took some of his money and went and bought new mattresses and put them on every available floor space. Even with these new mattresses there were up to six small children sleeping on one mattress.
We are working hard to raise the money to build a new and bigger orphanage so that the 30-plus children that we had to send out, plus some more who are begging to come in, will finally have a home. Click Let's Build an Orphanage to see how we are doing in raising the money.
